Dro to undergo Paris Saint-Germain medical today after leaving Barcelona

Pedro “Dro” Fernández Sarmiento will undergo his medical with Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain after leaving Barcelona this January, Softfootball understands.

The youngster commonly known as Dro is viewed as one of the most exciting talents to come out of the popular La Masia and it was sad for the Catalan club when he decided to leave the club. PSG paid a little above his clause to trigger a deal.

According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, Dro is close to wrapping up his move to PSG. He wrote:

🚨❤️💙 Dro, undergoing his medical at Paris Saint-Germain today ahead of €8m deal sealed with Barcelona.

Dro decided to leave Barcelona to get more playing time and have a well-structured future as he feels Hansi Flick has too many players ahead of him at the club and he is not getting the required game-time to develop quicker.

Dro highly promising Spanish-Filipino attacking midfielder, who can also play on the wings. He drawn comparisons with German international, Jamal Musiala because of his technical abilities. After the 2025 pre-season tour where he scored on his debut against Vissel Kobe on July 27.
