Rasmus Højlund and Napoli are ready to move forward together as the Italian champions are willing to make him one of the most important members of their squad next season, Softfootball reports.
The Denmark international joined the Naples club last summer on loan from premier league giants Manchester United with an option to buy for €50million (£43m).

Højlund has been an instant hit in Italy, scoring the goals that handed Luciano Spalletti his first defeat as Coach of Juventus as Napoli triumph 2-1 over the Turin club.
Speaking at an interview that was shared by Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, Napoli director Manna all but confirmed that the club will sign the former Atalanta star. He revealed:
Højlund? The obligation to buy is just a formality. We trust him and he trust our project. He’s very important. Even Højlund considers himself as Napoli player.
Antonio Conte recently praised Rasmus Højlund and last season’s Most Valuable player in the Serie A, Scott McTominay after Napoli won the Supercoppa Italiana triumph.

Hojlund has already scored more goals in mid-season this campaign than he did the whole of last season with Manchester United. He has so far scored scored 12 goals and provided three assists across all competitions for Napoli this season.
Højlund joined Manchester United in August 2023 for an initial fee of £64 million and made about 95 appearances, scoring 26 goals across all competitions. In his first season, he won the FA Cup and was the Red Devils’ top goalscorer across all competitions in his debut 2023/24 season, with 16 goals.
