Birmingham City Women have completed the signing of experienced defender Millie Turner from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee.
The 30-year-old centre-back brings a wealth of experience to Birmingham after spending eight years at Manchester United, where she made 189 appearances in all competitions and established herself as one of the club’s most reliable defenders.
Softfootball gathered Turner still had two years remaining on the contract she signed last summer, but Birmingham have now secured her services as they continue strengthening their squad ahead of the new season.
During her time at United, Turner made 133 Women’s Super League appearances, scored nine goals, captained the side on several occasions and played a key role in the club’s first major trophy success, helping them lift the FA Cup in 2024.

The move comes just days after Inter Milan Women completed the signing of Nigeria international Toni Payne following her departure from Everton, highlighting another busy summer in the women’s transfer market.
She was also part of the squad that secured qualification for the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage for the first time in 2025.
