Softfootball understands that Paris Saint-Germain has officially extended the contract of rising winger Ibrahim Mbaye until June 2028, activating a one-year option that was already inside his first professional deal.
The announcement was confirmed today by sport expert Fabrizio Romano via his official X account.

He posted:
Ibrahima Mbaye’s contract at Paris Saint-Germain, now valid until June 2028. The clause has been activated by PSG to get the deal extended for +1 season, as Mbaye is seen as a key part of PSG’s long-term project.
Still only 17, Mbaye is being treated as more than just another academy graduate. Inside the club, he’s viewed as a cornerstone for the future under Luis Enrique, who has been pushing PSG, which recently won the Sextuple, toward a long-term project rather than short-term superstar shopping.
Paris has been guilty in the past of letting top teenagers slip away, but with Mbaye, they slammed the door early. His extension didn’t appear out of thin air. Mbaye has forced his way into the senior rotation this season, collecting 18 appearances across all competitions, notching one goal and two assists.

The numbers may look small, but his performances tell a better story of bursting past defenders, switching flanks, and causing chaos. He stood out in games against Rennes and Metz, where his pace and quick feet brought a totally different energy.
The coaching staff has praised him, and Enrique has gone public several times, saying PSG will keep giving him minutes.
And there’s the international story too. Mbaye might’ve represented France at the youth level, but he committed his senior future to Senegal, already making his debut for the Lions of Teranga.

He’s expected to take part in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, representing Senegal, who recently crushed Kenya 8–0 in a friendly as part of their tournament preparations.
Mbaye is a true Titi, part of PSG’s famous academy pipeline, and his rise matches the club’s revived plan to trust internal talent again.
His estimated market value has now risen to around €25 million, with scouts already circling. But PSG clearly isn’t entertaining that chat yet. Currently, Mbaye resides in Paris, and a teenager becomes a headline instead of an afterthought.
