Sevilla will look to bounce back from successive LaLiga defeats when they face fourth-tier Extremadura in Thursday’s Copa del Rey showdown, Softfootball reports.
Since Sevilla defeated Barcelona 4-1, they have strangely gone backwards and currently ranked 13th with 16points after 14 Laliga matches so far this season, losing their last match 2-0 to Real Betis at home.

Although, they are ready for all December fixtures like their official X handle showed, beating Extremadura tomorrow will represent a good start to the month. They posted:

Interestingly, Extremadura five unbeaten run was ended by back-to-back defeats but they are very optimistic that they can get a result against the more experienced Laliga side.
Team News
Extremadura will go with a back four consisting of Samuel Hurtado, Angel Cano, Carlos Cordero and Tala. Juanmi Callejon and Giovanni Zarfino are expected to start from midfield, having scored nine goals between them in the league this season.
Alfredo Sualdea is likely to get the nod up front, although Mikael Villajos is an alternative option for the hosts.

For Sevilla, Akor Adams who scored for Nigeria during the international break has lost form and not expected to start while the trio of Tanguy Nianzou, Ruben Vargas and Adnan Januzaj are all sidelined with hamstring injuries.
Left-back Gabriel Suazo is not available and centre-back Marcao is unlikely to feature after he picked up a knee problem in the derby. The likes of Kike Salas, Manu Bueno, Nemanja Gudelj, Miguel Angel Sierra and Alexis Sanchez could start.

Extremadura probable XI:
Rodriguez; Hurtado, Cano, Cordero, Tala; Callejon, Zarfino, Diaz; Barace, Manchon, Sualdea.
Sevilla probable XI:
Nyland; Juanlu, Castrin, Salas, Oso; Bueno, Gudelj, Jordan; Sierra, Alfon, Sanchez.
Softfootball Prediction
Sevilla are not in great form but should do enough to beat the fourth-tier Extremadura on Thursday. Extremadura 0-4 Sevilla.
