According to a post shared by football expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, he revealed how Deco defended Rashford’s poor form at Old Trafford before he switched to Barcelona. The post read:

Barça director Deco: Rashford is happy with us. Marcus is a fantastic player. He suffered a bit with this change of generation at United too. It’s not easy. When you are an important player, you have a lot of responsibility, told Times Sport.

Rashford wasn’t Barcelona’s first choice as they chased Lamine Yamal best friend with the Spanish national team, Nico William, which went on for large parts of the summer. Eventually, Nico Williams snubbed Barcelona to sign a new deal with Athletic Bilbao.

So far, Rashford has been playing a key role for Barcelona due to injuries to important members of the team. He has made 16 appearances for the club, scoring six goals and providing seven assists, and leads the team in assists alongside Lamine Yamal.

Barcelona are currently top of LaLiga table with 34 points, a point above archrivals Real Madrid after 14 matches so far this season.
