Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim has hinted that the club may not allow the duo of Joshua Zirkzee and Kobbie Mainoo leave in the January transfer window, Softfootball reports.
The Red Devils are currently on a 5-match unbeaten run with three wins and two draws. Manchester United’s last match ended in a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspurs before the international break. But Zirkzee and Mainoo have continued to grow frustrated as they don’t get enough playing time.

According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X account, Amorim is open to the players staying beyond January. He wrote:
Rúben Amorim on Joshua Zirkzee and Kobbie Mainoo potential exit in January: The club comes first, it’s the number one priority. We have to think about the club and the team. After that, anything can happen.
Zirkzee trained with Manchester United youngsters alongside Lisandro Martinez during the international break. But the Dutchman wants to be at the 2026 World Cup and not playing regularly could affect his chances.

Zirkzee is not short of suitors as Juventus are desperate to sign him in January, having struggled in front of goal. They believe Zirkzee’s ability to play the number 9 and 10 roles effectively will help them create more scoring chances and improve their goals tally generally.
Also, Napoli are keen for the services of Mainoo, who was immense for England during the last European Championship that Spain won. And with the likes of Scott McTominay and Rasmus Holjund already at the club, it is a big lure for Mainoo, who is also wanted by West Ham in the premier league.
