Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos says the club’s strong “family” atmosphere played a major role in his impressive showing during the Blues’ 2–0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor.
The young Brazilian, who looked surprisingly assured for someone still settling fully into Premier League rhythm, was central to Chelsea’s control in midfield, mixing calm touches with a bit of bite whenever Burnley tried to break through.

Softfootball reports that his performance was celebrated by Chelsea via their official X account as the Blue acknowledged the Brazilian brilliance.

Santos didn’t hide how much he’s learning from the senior figures around him. He spoke warmly about Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernández and Romeo Lavia, noting that each one influences him in different ways.
He said
Every day I learn something from Moises, Enzo and Romeo Lavia. Our team is like a family and we help each other every day, and I’m so happy to play with all of them.
The most important thing is the three points and the away victory, and now we have to keep going, keep fighting for every game.
For Santos, the most important thing wasn’t just the clean individual performance but the collective grind to secure three tough Premier League points. Burnley didn’t make life easy, and he admitted as much.

He said:
It’s a Premier League game and we knew it was going be difficult,
I like to get involved with the tackles, to help my team-mates, and I’m so happy with my performance today, and the performance of the team. We fought very well for the win
He also mentioned a message from head coach Enzo Maresca that stuck with him throughout the match: fight for every ball. Santos said he carried that instruction with him from the first whistle.
The 19-year-old rounded off by appreciating Chelsea’s fans, saying their support started long before he even arrived in London. He will be hoping to also make an important impact when they host high-flying Barcelona in the Champions League; the Spanish champions made light work of Bilbao in the league and will be favourites when they meet Chelsea in London.
