Nottingham Forest will be eyeing a 32-year record when they travel to Anfield to face Liverpool in the Match-Day 12 of the premier league, Softfootball reports.
Before the international break, Sean Dyche got his first win as manager of the Tricky Trees with a 3-1 win over Leeds United while Liverpool fell 3-0 to Manchester City at the Etihad.

Liverpool are desperate to bounce back from their defeat against the Cityzens as they defend their premier league crown and are focus on the game against Nottingham Forest like they have shared via their official X handle after the international break. They posted:

Head-to-Head
If Nottingham Forest avoid defeat against Liverpool on Saturday, it will be the first time since November 1993 that they’ve gone three matches unbeaten against the Reds. Last season, Tricky Trees stayed unbeaten against Arne Slot’s men, winning 1-0 at Anfield and playing out 1-1 draw at the City Ground.

However, in 122 matches between both sides, Liverpool have won 60, Forest claimed 32 while 30 have ended in draws. Interestingly, Forest last won back-to-back at Anfield in 1963, a challenge Sean Dyche would love his side to pull off in 2025.
Star Player
Mohammed Salah is the star player for Liverpool. Although his form hasn’t been fantastic in the last couple of weeks and criticisms on his form from some session of the fans but if anyone can deliver for the Reds it’s the Egyptian.

Elliot Anderson has been a real shinning light since he joined Nottingham Forest. He will be key in midfield as they look to win again at Anfield. Anderson matches the right profile of player Sean Dyche wants as the manager has been hammering on a competitive mentality for his side.
Team News
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker is expected to make his return to action on Saturday after overcoming his hamstring injury. But Jeremie Frimpong (hamstring) and Giovanni Leoni (ACL) are still not available while striker Alexander Isak is fit despite earlier concerns.
Hugo Ekitike might be benched for Isak while Mohamed Salah will play his 300th Premier League match for the reigning champions.

For Nottingham Forest, Chris Wood (knee), Oleksandr Zinchenko (hip), Dilane Bakwa (unspecified) and Callum Hudson-Odoi (thigh) are all doubtful while Ola Aina (thigh), Douglas Luiz (thigh) and Angus Gunn (knee) are out.
Igor Jesus, Arnaud Kalimuendo and former Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi will battle for the number 9 position.
During Sean Dyche’s pre-match interview shared via Nottingham’s official X handle, he spoke about his side being competitive. Watch video below.
