This is a huge problem for Parma because Suzuki has been a significant figure for them. Softfootball highlighted his key role in the Juventus Vs Parma match even though Parma were defeated 2-0.

This injury sadly occurred during Parma’s Serie A match against AC Milan which ended in a 2-2 draw. Suzuki diligently grinded through the match but the extent of the damage was discovered at the end of the match.

He had the surgery at the Institute for Integrated Sports Medicine and Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo. Parma’s head doctor, Dr. Giulio was present as well.

The surgery was a successful one and Suzuki would take the next step which is rehabilitation and this would be done under the close supervision of Parma’s medical staff. With Suzuki away, the club are now faced with the task of scouting for another reliable goalkeeper.

Suzuki played in the friendly match between Japan and Brazil which ended with a 3-2 win for Japan. But unfortunately, he won’t be playing in Japan’s upcoming friendly matches against Ghana and Bolivia.

The club is now looking at free-agent goalkeepers to strengthen their squad during his absence but for Suzuki the road to recovery will be long but a steady process. With the rehabilitation, all eyes will be on him to return stronger and help Parma once again.
