Eduardo Camavinga has just returned to Real Madrid’s training ground after a hamstring injury that first showed up during his stint with the French national team, Softfootball reports.
The 22‑year‑old midfielder was taken off the pitch in the 57th minute of Madrid’s 0-1 loss to Liverpool on November 4th, 2025 and medical tests confirmed a muscle injury in his left femoral biceps.
Real Madrid had announced that he would be out for two to three weeks, and since then he has only been doing light running and individual physio sessions.

Because of that, Camavinga has been ruled out of France’s upcoming World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan next week, as confirmed by journalist FabriceHawkins and echoed on by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in his official X handle. He said;
Eduardo Camavinga returns to Madrid as he won’t be available to face Azerbaijan due to injury. He’s still out, as @FabriceHawkins reports.Eduardo Camavinga returns to Madrid as he won’t be available to face Azerbaijan due to injury.

The French federation has called up Khephren Thuram to fill his spot for that match.
This is a tough blow for Real Madrid, who are already missing Aurélien Tchouaméni. They are also missing Federico Valverde who recently sustained a thigh injury. Camavinga’s absence could force the coach to lean on Dani Ceballos or shift Jude Bellingham deeper for the next few fixtures.
Real Madrid is monitoring his recovery closely and hope to have him back before their Champions League clash but no exact return date has been confirmed beyond the two‑to‑three‑week estimate.
