Giuliano Simeone is on the verge of signing a new long-term contract with Atlético Madrid that will keep him at the club until June 2030. The 22-year-old forward, son of head coach Diego Simeone, has impressed everyone at the club with his attitude, form, and consistency.

According to a post shared by Fabrizio Romano on his official X account, Atlético’s management is extremely pleased with how he has developed, especially after being named Man of the Match in three straight games. The club’s faith in him mirrors their recent confidence boost after Atlético Madrid’s 3-1 win over Union Saint-Gilloise, a result that reaffirmed their growing strength and team unity.

Talks over the new deal are in the final stages, and the plan is to reward Giuliano’s rise with a major pay increase from around €500,000 to €2.5 million per season. His release clause will reportedly double to €100 million, protecting him from interest across Europe. As reported by SoftFootball, Diego Simeone recently said that the family dynamic between him and his son has not interfered with professionalism at the club.

Giuliano’s rise this season has been nothing short of impressive. After being linked with a possible loan to Alavés earlier in the campaign, he fought for his place and turned things around. His energy, pressing, and vision have been vital to Atlético’s attacking setup. With 5 goals and 8 assists in 46 appearances, he has become a symbol of Atlético’s Agenda 2030 project, which is a plan focused on developing and keeping their brightest young players, like Pablo Barrios and Julián Álvarez.

If the deal goes through as expected, Giuliano Simeone will join a new generation of homegrown stars anchoring Atlético’s future, showing that hard work and patience can still shine in modern football.
