Former Chelsea midfielder Oscar Emboaba has shared his honest thoughts on young Brazilian sensation Estêvão, who’s already making waves at Stamford Bridge, scoring a late winner against Liverpool as reported by Softfootball.
Speaking on the Obi One Podcast with John Mikel Obi, Oscar discussed the teenager’s immense potential and what it might take for him to one day reach the top.

When asked by Mikel if Estêvão could become a future Ballon d’Or winner, Oscar took his time in giving a thoughtful response about Chelsea wonderkid who recently became youngest player to score for Brazil since Pele.
He said:
I think if he has the confidence… you know, he is good, he has the dribble, he likes to score goals and he has the goals.

Oscar said:
He has got a lot of talent, yeah, a lot of talent in there. But he needs time, time to adapt to Europe. It’s not easy to arrive there and play straight away.
The 18-year-old forward, who joined Chelsea from Palmeiras, has already impressed fans with his flair and fearless style, reminding many of a young Neymar. But Oscar, who knows what it means to succeed in Europe as a Brazilian, urged patience.

Give him a little time, I think he has gone to one of the best teams in Europe, so let’s see what happens. Especially in the next two or three years… but he has the talent, he really does.
