Paris Saint-Germain return to winning ways with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Auxerre in the French Ligue 1 match played on Saturday night, Softfootball reports.
PSG lost their last match 1-0 against Marseille and needed to bounce back to winning ways. Former Benfica forward, Gonçalo Ramos went close with a right footed shot from a difficult angle but his effort was saved in the bottom left corner by Donovan Léon in goal for the away side.
However, he had no answer for Illia Zabarnyi left left footed shot from the left side of the six yard box which flew past the goalkeeper and rested at the back of the net. The goal was assisted by Vitinha following a corner.

However, Vitinha who finished third in the recently concluded Ballon D’Or, went off with a knock just after the goal and was replaced by Achraf Hakimi. Luis Enrique didn’t want to take any risks with a game against Barcelona coming up on Wednesday.
Here is PSG’s post via their official X handle celebrating the game.

Auxerre searched for the equaliser as Marvin Senaya played in Josué Casimir but his right foot shot went wide. PSG went into the break with a 1-0 half-time lead.
Bradley Barcola began the second half very lively and has an early shot served by the goal keeper. But the Ligue 1 defending champions eventually extended their lead when Beraldo headed in a cross by Senny Mayulu to make it 2-0 in the almost one-sided affair.
PSG are back ontop of the table with 15 points, three more than second placed Marseille while Auxerre are now placed 13th with just six points.
