“We will take the positives” Crystal Palace coach Glasner boast after statement win

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has humbly said that his team will continually take the positives from every game they play in the league, Softfootball can report.

The Eagles have been unbeaten in their last 18 games across all competitions, with their previous win over West Ham, who just appointed a new manager, Nuno Espírito Santos, this afternoon to replace Graham Potter

Crystal Palace have then kept their momentum across all the games.  Glasner speaking after his team made a statement by defeating Liverpool 2-1 at the Selhurst Park on Saturday evening

Glasner told the club media that what matters to the club is taking positive steps after every game.  He said:

We take this positivity and positive feelings and emotions. It helps us to recover quicker, and it helps us in the daily work.

We always talk about our game and we have many positive clips we can show the players, especially from the first-half and the mentality. We also have things we can still improve on.

Having recounted the VAR scenario, Glasner added that those last-minute dramas define football and increase the love for it. Recall that Eddie Nketiah scored a gnashing goal in the dead of the game to dash the hopes of Liverpool, who have lately become the heroes of late goal equalisers and winners this season.

But Glasner added:

What makes me really proud today is we conceded the equaliser in the 90th minute. Very often, the momentum changes and you lose a game. We kept our heads up, played forward and turned the momentum again. We got the game-winner. That makes me really proud of the group.

Ahead of Palace’s conference league game, Glasner said the Eagles will continue their impressive run against Dynamo Kiev. He said:

But in five days we play against Kyiv, so in the next two days the players come in tomorrow to recover. I think the win helps us to recover mentally. The legs get the treatment today and tomorrow. Monday we have off, and Tuesday we will start and push the team to win against Kyiv.

Crystal Palace and Kiev have never met before this Thursday; they are currently in the second position with 12 points.
