Luis Diaz has expressed his delight following his €75 million move from Liverpool to Bayen Munich this summer. The 28-year-old got off to a great start with his new club by scoring three goals and providing two assists in his first four games for the German champions.

Softfootball reported that the Colombia international signed a four-year deal with the German club to bring his three-and-a-half-year stay at Anfield to an end, and he is thrilled with how quickly he has settled in at Bayern.

Diaz left Liverpool as a Premier League champion, having won four pieces of major silverware during his time at the club, and says his exit would have been the “perfect goodbye” if not for the death of his former team-mate Diogo Jota earlier in July.

According to Fabrizio Romano via his X handle, Luis Díaz shared his excitement during a press conference with the Colombian national team following his move from Liverpool to Bayern Munich.

Díaz expressed that it is always an honor to represent a major club and described Bayern as one of the biggest in world football. His comments reflect both his pride in the transfer and his ambition to make a strong impact in Germany. The post reads:

Luis Díaz: It’s definitely always special to play for a big club, and Bayern is one of the big clubs.

I’m very happy. I joined the right team, the right group. I’ll continue to work hard with both feet on the ground and focus on what’s to come.

Díaz started in Colombia’s 3-0 win over Bolivia, providing an assist. The winger and his National team will be at the 2026 World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the USA after Los Cafeteros triumph in Barranquilla on Friday night.

The result means Colombia can no longer finish outside the top six of South American qualifying with one game to go and will now feature in next summer’s finals.
