Christopher Nkunku has opened up on his decision to join AC Milan, admitting the project presented by the Italian giants convinced him at first mention, Softfootball reports.
Nkunku arrives at San Siro following a €35m deal from Chelsea at the cusp of the transfer deadline this week for a five-year duration.

As revealed by journalist Fabrizio Romano on his X handle, Nkunku explained how quickly he was drawn to the Rossoneri’s offer, seeing that he had no spot in Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea squad anymore.
Fabrizio, quoting Nkunku, wrote this:
The first time I heard about AC Milan… it was special for me.
I didn’t think too much, I said yes immediately. I just wanted to hear about the project and it happened.
Meanwhile, the French international had previously attracted interest from several top clubs across England and Spain before the Milan deal emerged, following a loan-to-buy move by Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze to Fulham in a similar vein.
The 26-year-old had experienced a yo-yo moment at Stamford Bridge before finally making a move to Milan. As Nkunku has said, the new offer will allow him to restart his career.
Nkunku made 38 appearances, scoring six goals during his two-year spell with the Londoners. Nkunku’s debut game is set to be against Bologna after the September break.
