Brazilian goalkeeper, Éderson is set to leave Manchester City on transfer deadline day after agreeing agreeing €14m deal to Fenerbahçe, Softfootball reports.

The 32-year-old, who has just 12 months left in his current Cityzens contract has played second fiddle to new signing James Trafford even after recovering from the sickness bug that ruled him out of the opening game of the Premier League season.

This could be an interesting transfer deadline day for Manchester City as they are expecting to finalise Ederson’s sale before bringing in Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donarumma.

The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) showstopper who won the UEFA Champions League and played in the FIFA Club World Cup final against Chelsea was told by manager Luis Enrique to look for another club and dropped him for the UEFA Super Cup against Tottenham Hotspurs.

According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle, Ederson’s move to Turkey afford the Cityzens the opportunity to sign Donarumma.

He said:

“Éderson to Fenerbahçe, here we go! Verbal agreement in place for Brazilian GK to join Fener.

“Fee around €13/14m to Man City for Éderson and as also personal terms are agreed with his agent Jorge Mendes and director Devin Özek.

“Up next: Donnarumma and City.”

Ederson made 372 appearances for Manchester City in all competitions since he joined the club in 2017 from Portuguese side, Benfica.

Ederson enjoyed a fantastic career under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, winning six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, three EFL Cups and the Champions League in 2023. Also, he picked up three consecutive Premier League Golden Glove awards.

Ederson would go down as one of the best goalkeepers ever to grace the English Premier League. He is a modern goalkeeper with almost perfect outfit skills. His ball playing abilities are among the best in the world and he helped Manchester City build up loads of attack from the back.

Ederson even made history with his number assists. The Brazilian recorded six assists in Premier League matches, surpassing Former England international Paul Robinson, who had five assists during his time with Leeds United, Tottenham Hotspur, Blackburn Rovers and Burnley.
