Chelsea have completed the signing of Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United in what is one of the most monitored transfer saga this summer. Softfootball understands that the Argentina international, who turned 21 in July, has put pen to paper on a long-term deal that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2032.

According to Chelsea’s official website, the move was formally confirmed today, August 30, 2025, with the Blues paying Manchester United a fee worth £40 million plus a 10 percent sell-on clause. Garnacho arrives with a lot of Premier League experience, having already made over 90 appearances for Manchester united and established himself as one of the most exciting young forwards in the country.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with the club’s media team via the club’s official website Garnacho said;

 “It’s an incredible moment for my family and I to join this great club. I can’t wait to get started. I watched the Club World Cup and to join the world champions is special – we’re the best team in the world! It’s amazing to be here and I’m very happy.”

Softfootball understands that Garnacho, who came through the youth systems of Getafe and Atletico Madrid before joining United in 2020, will immediately link up with Enzo Maresca’s squad. His rise has been a joy to watch in past few years , from scoring a last-minute Premier League winner at Fulham in 2022 to netting a Puskás Award-winning bicycle kick against Everton in 2024.

Chelsea dropped an exculsive video via their official X handle celebrating the arrival of the player from Manchester United.

Chelsea, will be hoping the argentine brings his flair, directness and his eye for goal , which can light up Stamford Bridge as they continue to build a young, dynamic squad under marseca’s leadership.
