Fulham goalkeeper, Bernd Leno expects a tough test against Manchester United in the premier league match-day 2 encounter at Craven Cottage, Softfootball reports.
The Cottagers drew their first game 1-1 against Brighton away from home last week while the Red Devils lost 1-0 to Arsenal at Old Trafford. But Fulham will feel more comfortable as they have a stable team while Ruben Amorim’s side are still rebuilding.

Speaking to Fulham’s official club media ahead of the encounter, former Arsenal goalkeeper, Bernd Leno believes his side can hold their own but expects a tough encounter and has asked the fans to be at full voice.
He said:
“I think they have new energy. I watched their game against Arsenal last Sunday and I think they had quite a good game, they were a little bit unlucky to lose that game.
“The last couple of years, all the times we played United were very, very tight games. And I expect the same, and hopefully we can keep the three points at home.
“[The Cottage] is always special. It was already special when we had the friendly game, and that was just a friendly.
“It feels like home, it feels familiar, and I think on Sunday at 4.30 the crowd will be on fire. I’m 100 per cent sure the game will be good, and hopefully with a positive result for us.”
Fulham narrowly missed out on qualifying for Europe last season and are already prepared to fight for a spot this season, according to their Danish center back, Joachim Andersen. He said:
“The aim is to get up to those European spots this season,” he says. “It was really tight between four or five teams last season, and we came short in that little race. But football is small margins, and that’s something we need to try and get in our favour.”
Manchester United are expected to unleash a front three of Benjamin Šeško, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha that cost a reported combine £194m as Ruben Amorim look for his first win this season.
