Brazilian midfielder, Douglas Luiz is set to return to the premier league after Nottingham Forest agreed a €30 million deal with Juventus.
Softfootball understands that the former Aston Villa midfielder is due to fly into the UK for medicals on Thursday before signing his contract as a new Forest player.

According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano via his official X handle informs that the deal is done as both clubs have agreed on a fee for the midfielder.
Fabrizio said:
“Douglas Luiz to Nottingham Forest, here we go! Deal now done for fee around €30m to Juventus.
“Understand #NFFC are planning for the Brazilian to travel today destination UK if documents are exchanged in time.
“Medical can take place on Thursday if all goes to plan.”
Douglas Luiz had an unsuccessful one season with the Old Lady’s following his £50 million pound move in the summer of 2024. He started just six matches across all competitions last season for Juventus.
The 27-year-old is already behind the pecking order in central midfield for Juventus behind the likes of Manuel Locatelli, Khephren Thuram-Ulien, Weston McKennie and Teun Koopmeiners.
With the World Cup coming up and him needing game time to get the attention of Brazilian Coach, Carlo Ancelotti moving to Nottingham Forest is a smart move and he joins the long list of summer arrives that includes Igor Jesus, Jair Cunha and Dan Ndoye, Omari Hutchinson, James McAtee and Arnaud Kalimuendo.
Last week, Nottingham Forest hammered Brentford 3-1 at the City Ground in their opening match of the new Premier League season and manager Nuno Espirito Santo will hope Douglez will can complete his deal on time to feature in their next game against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
