Chelsea new boy, Estevao Willian scored on his debut as the Blues ran out 2-0 winners over Bundesliga outfit, Bayer Leverkusen at Stamford Bridge.
In a game monitored by Softfootball, Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca handed Estevao his debut on the right side of Chelsea’s midfield while Cole Palmer played from the middle, Liam Delap as the striker and Joao Pedro was on the bench.
There was no place in the Chelsea squad for the likes of Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson while for Leverkusen manager, Erik Ten Hag, he started Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Victor Boniface from the bench.

The game had an extra incentive as there was a Cup at stake provided by “Visit Malta Weekender.” It was Chelsea’s first pre-season match at home in front of their fans and it was the first time they were seeing their new signings play at the stadium.
The Blues dominated play early and it was no surprise when they took the first half lead. Palmer had his shot come of the post and Estevao was on hand to score from the rebound with ease. In his first game at Stamford Bridge, the Brazilian Wonderkid celebrated with a knee slide and kissed the Chelsea badge.
Chelsea shared the highlight of Estevao’s goal on their official X handle.
