Viktor Gyokeres has informed Arsenal that he will love to have the iconic number 14 jersey when he completes his transfer to the club, Softfootball reports.
The Sweden international only wanted Arsenal despite interest from Manchester United where his former Coach Ruben Amorim was in charge. He refused to return for Sporting Lisbon pre-season and finally got his wish with a move to Arsenal.

The Gunners reached agreement with Sporting as the Portuguese club accepted a bid of €63.5m plus €10m, with Gyokeres’ agent Hasan Cetinkaya reducing his commission to help the deal go through.
Gyökeres will sign a five year deal at the Emirates after passing his medical. The former Coventry striker and his agent, Cetinkaya flew into London to complete all formalities before the official announcement.
According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Gyokeres has boldly demanded that Arsenal should allow him wear the iconic 14 jersey which was made famous by the legendary Thierry Henry.
He tweeted via his X handle that:

The Frenchman is arguably the greatest player of the Premier League era ever, following how he destroyed teams with goals and was part of the Gunners invincible side that went a whole season without losing a game.
Gyokeres is coming to Arsenal with a huge goalscoring reputation and if anyone could lay claim to that shirt it is surely the Swede. He scored 39 goals in 33 league matches during his final season in Portugal and 54 in 52 games in all competitions.
Last season, Arsenal main strikers Kai Harvertz and Gabriel Jesus got injured in January and February respectively as they finished the season in second, 10 points behind League winners Liverpool and scored 17 goals fewer.
Arteta has hopefully now fixed that problem with the arrival of Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon. Gyokeres has scored 15 goals in 26 matches for his national team. Arsenal are currently in pre-season tour of Asian and two days ago beat AC Milan 1-0 in Singapore.
