The transfer saga involving Victor Osimhen between Napoli and Galatasaray shows no signs of ending, as fresh complications have reportedly surfaced during the final stages of negotiations.
Osimhen scored 37 times in 41 appearances on loan at Galatasaray last season, and he is not expected to play for Napoli again due to the breakdown in his relationship with the Italian club.
According to La Repubblica, De Laurentiis is also insisting on the inclusion of a special clause that would prevent Osimhen from returning to Serie A in the near future.

Despite Victor Osimhen’s clear desire to join Galatasaray with personal terms already agreed, a deal between the two clubs has yet to be finalised. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is standing firm on his €75 million asking price, which Galatasaray are reportedly prepared to meet.
However, negotiations have stalled due to disagreements over the payment structure, instalment plans, and the absence of the bank guarantees demanded by the Italian side.
According to the report, the ‘anti-Italy’ clause would ban Osimhen from joining any Italian club for the next three seasons. Napoli want this safeguard written into the final contract to ensure they do not face their former striker at a domestic rival before the 2028/29 campaign.
The deal remains in advanced stages, but finalising it now hinges on Galatasaray meeting Napoli’s demands both financially and contractually.
As disclosed by Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray proposal worth €75m (£65m) has been submitted to the Italian champions. Romano claims that Napoli would receive a €40m (£34.6m) immediate payment and €35m (£30.3m) in instalments under the terms of the agreement, but it remains to be seen whether it is deemed suitable by the Serie A club.
Osimhen has a record of 76 goals and 18 assists in 133 appearances for Napoli, while he also managed 18 goals and six assists in 38 outings for Lille earlier in his career.
Softfootball reported earlier that Osimhen’s departure opens way for Nunez at Napoli. As Napoli and Galatasaray continue to negotiate a perfect price for Victor Osimhen, Napoli are also looking to lure Liverpool to accept their offer for unsettled striker, Darwin Nunez.
The Italian side are reportedly looking to use parts of Osimhen’s fees to pay for Nunez. Liverpool rejected €70m from Al-Hilal last season for Nunez and will be hoping to receive closer to that range before allowing Nunez leave the Anfield.
The Reds are open to selling Nunez, who hasn’t quite fitted in under new manager Arne Slot, but wants a substantial amount more than the offered €55m. This isn’t the first time Nunez has been the subject of transfer interest.
