Napoli are looking to bring new players into the squad as they look to defend their Serie A title next season despite being unsure of how unsettled Victor Osimhen’s future will be. The Serie A champions have been in talks with Bologna for the signing of Sam Beukema who is reported to have agreed personal terms to join the club.
The Azzurris are waiting to agree on a favoured price with Bologna for the player. Conte’s team have also shown interest in signing Liverpool’s estranged striker Darwin Nunez but are skeptical to go on with negotiations.
Meanwhile, the club remains unsure about Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen’s future as they are yet to receive any bid for the 26 year old who spent last season on loan at Turkish champions Galatasaray. The striker is being courted by top European clubs including Manchester United who have been strongly linked but are yet to officially approach Napoli.

According to reports in Italy, Osimhen has been summoned back to Naples for pre-season but will only join up with the youth team pending when his movement is sorted. The Nigerian scored 37 goals for Galatasaray last season where he won the Turkish Super Lig and Turkish Cup.
Softfootball had a few days ago reported Napoli rejecting Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal big money bid for midfielder Scott McTominay. Saudi giants Al-Hilal recently made an enquiry into McTominay’s availability, but Napoli immediately shut down the approach. According to reports in Italy, the club’s stance is firm—no deal will be considered, regardless of the price offered.
The Scotland international enjoyed a phenomenal debut campaign, racking up 12 goals and six assists in 34 league appearances to help Napoli secure the Serie A title. His efforts earned him the league’s Most Valuable Player award, and his performances have not gone unnoticed outside of Italy.
