Softfootball can confirm Nigerian Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre has returned to the pitch for Al‑Ittihad after previously returning to training with the club following recovery from a left foot injury which required surgery.
Plumptre has featured in two preseason matches so far and looks sharper than ever before. Her return is a major boost for both club and country as she continues to build her fitness and match rhythm ahead of a busy campaign.
As at today, Tuesday 25th August 2026, the Super Falcons defender and her club Al‑Ittihad are currently in Spain for their preseason preparations ahead of the new season.
