Nigeria Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre has returned to training with her club Al‑Ittihad after recovering from a left foot injury which required surgery.
Ashleigh Plumptre missed the 2026 WAFCON squad due to injury, as Softfootball had reported when the Super Falcons finalised their 25‑player list.
However, she had sent a message of support to Nigeria ahead of their opening 2026 WAFCON match against Malawi, which the Super Falcons unfortunately lost 3:2.
Now, she is back on the pitch again and working towards regaining her best form ahead of the new season.
