On thursday 6th august 2026, Nigerian Super Eagles defender Abdullahi Ibrahim Bewene has signed a new five‑year contract with Czech club Baník Ostrava, featuring an improved salary and a buyout clause in the updated deal.
Bewene is now contracted to Baník Ostrava until June 2031, bringing an end to speculation surrounding his future.
Softfootball understands, The 21‑year‑old versatile right‑back rose through the youth ranks and B team at Baník Ostrava before earning promotion to the first team, where he has continued to impress with his performances, consistency, and defensive qualities.
Bewene made his international debut for the Super Eagles in a friendly against Poland last month and followed it up with another appearance in Nigeria’s 2–1 friendly defeat to Portugal.
