Napoli have made contact with Gabriel Jesus’ representatives to explore a possible move for the Arsenal forward, with initial discussions already underway.

According to reports, Napoli have opened talks with the player’s camp as they assess the possibility of bringing the Brazilian to Serie A. Jesus is now represented by the same agency as Napoli head coach Massimiliano Allegri, adding another connection to the developing situation.

However, Arsenal remain clear on their position and are only willing to consider a permanent transfer for the 29-year-old. The Gunners are not currently looking to sanction a loan departure, meaning Napoli would need to meet Arsenal’s valuation to progress the deal.

The development comes as Softfootball previously confirmed that Vinícius Júnior has agreed a new six-year contract with Real Madrid, effectively ending speculation linking the Brazilian forward with a move to Arsenal.

Vinícius is expected to remain at the Santiago Bernabéu after reaching a verbal agreement with Madrid over a long-term renewal.

Only minor details remain before the deal receives the club’s final approval, bringing an end to the transfer rumours surrounding his future.
