Chelsea have reached an agreement with Rayo Vallecano to sign Spanish left-back Pep Chavarría in a deal worth €19 million in fixed fees plus a further €2 million in add-ons, with additional performance-related add-ons also being agreed.
Earlier in August, Softfootball reported that Chelsea were putting the finishing touches on a deal for Chavarría after an improved offer brought the transfer into its final stages.
The club-to-club agreement has been completed, with formal signatures between Chelsea and Rayo Vallecano expected tonight. Chavarría will now travel to undergo his medical and complete the formalities before signing his contract with the Blues.

The agreement represents the conclusion of negotiations that had been progressing throughout the week.
The 27-year-old defender has been identified as an important addition to Xabi Alonso’s squad, and his arrival will provide further depth at left-back as Chelsea prepare for the new season.
