Softfootball can confirm that Bournemouth have completed an agreement to sign Juanlu Sánchez from Sevilla in a deal worth €11 million plus a further €2 million in performance-related add-ons.
The 22-year-old is now expected to undergo his medical before putting pen to paper on his contract, becoming Bournemouth’s latest addition ahead of the new Premier League season.
A product of Sevilla’s renowned academy, Juanlu has made more than 100 senior appearances for the Spanish club, establishing himself as one of La Liga’s most promising young talents. Comfortable as both a right-back and right winger, he is valued for his attacking instincts, technical quality and ability to contribute at both ends of the pitch.

For Sevilla, the transfer represents an important financial boost. Having developed Juanlu through their academy, the Spanish side will receive the full transfer fee while continuing efforts to balance their finances during the summer transfer window.
In other transfer news, Fiorentina are edging closer to completing the signing of Portuguese full-back João Mário from Juventus. The proposed move is expected to be structured as an initial loan with an option to buy, with negotiations between the two Serie A clubs now in their final stages.
With Juanlu’s medical now the final major step, Bournemouth are expected to officially announce the signing in the coming days as they continue strengthening their squad for the challenges of the 2026-27 campaign.
