Arsenal have reportedly suffered a major injury blow with Kai Havertz set to miss the remainder of the season after suffering a serious hamstring injury.
The Germany international picked up the injury during Arsenal’s mid-season training camp in Dubai and is reportedly facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Havertz has been an important player for Mikel Arteta this season, leading the Arsenal attack and scoring 15 goals across all competitions.
His absence represents a significant setback for the Gunners, who are competing with Liverpool for the Premier League title while also continuing their UEFA Champions League campaign.
According to reports, Havertz has suffered a serious hamstring tear and could potentially require surgery.
Even without an operation, the forward’s focus is reportedly expected to shift towards recovering in time for the beginning of the 2025/26 season.
The injury is particularly damaging for Arsenal after the club opted against signing another striker during the January transfer window despite concerns over their attacking options.
Bukayo Saka has also been sidelined with a hamstring injury, while Gabriel Martinelli recently suffered a similar problem during Arsenal’s defeat to Newcastle United.
Gabriel Jesus has already been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign, leaving Arteta with fewer attacking options at a crucial stage of the season.
