Antony was named Man of the Match for the second consecutive game despite Real Betis surrendering a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 against Celta Vigo.

The Manchester United loanee opened the scoring in the 10th minute, helping his team build a comfortable halftime advantage before a disastrous second-half collapse. Softfootball reports that he expressed frustration with his teammates’ lack of focus.

Betis looked set for a routine victory after Diego Llorente doubled their lead, but they conceded three unanswered goals in the second half. Williot Swedberg scored the winner for Celta in the 87th minute, leaving Betis tenth in La Liga and extending their winless run to six games across all competitions.

He explained his disappointment by stating:

It’s very difficult to understand that we lost this match. We started very well, we went 2-0 up but we have to change our mentality. We scored two goals, but we have to be focused throughout the match, the 90 minutes.

The Brazilian winger emphasized the need for mental strength and consistency to secure results. His individual brilliance continues to shine during his loan spell, even as the team struggles to maintain defensive solidity and close out matches effectively.
