Softfootball understands The heartbreaking news comes as Italy prepare for a new chapter under Roberto Mancini, who recently agreed to return as head coach of the Azzurri after the Italian Football Federation’s plans to appoint Andrea Pirlo collapsed at the final stage.

The proposed deal for Pirlo was halted by federation president Giovanni Malagò due to concerns surrounding the former midfielder’s collaboration with Russian brands.
