Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has completed a loan move from Wolves to Ajax, Softfootball can confirm. The agreement is a season‑long loan with an option to buy worth £22 million, giving Ajax the chance to make the transfer permanent at the end of the campaign.

Softfootball understands Ajax will also pay a £1 million loan fee, with additional add‑ons included if the Dutch club reaches the league phase of a European competition.

Several clubs were in the race for Arokodare, including: Genoa, Fiorentina, Hamburger SV and Trabzonspor

However, Softfootball gathered that Arokodare chose Ajax because their approach was more convincing, and they had already shown strong interest in signing him before his move to Wolves last season.

The deal gives Ajax a powerful attacking option as they rebuild their squad, while Arokodare gets a fresh opportunity to prove himself at a top European club.
