Premier League regulations allow a club to have only one player on loan from another Premier League side at any given time, and Villa have already completed a deal involving Alejandro Garnacho from Chelsea, making another domestic loan between the clubs impossible.
As a result, any move for Jackson would have to be structured differently, with a permanent transfer or another acceptable arrangement likely required if negotiations are to progress.
Chelsea are continuing to assess Jackson’s future while reshaping their squad ahead of the new campaign, and Aston Villa remain attentive to any opportunity that could bring the forward to Villa Park.
