Victor Osimhen has reflected on Galatasaray’s 1-1 draw away to Hatayspor, admitting that the Turkish champions must improve after a disappointing first-half performance. The Nigeria international scored Galatasaray’s only goal from the penalty spot in the 56th minute.
Softfootball reports that Osimhen was particularly unhappy with the team’s lack of intensity before the break, although he praised the response after the interval. The striker said the players must remain focused and make better use of their chances in future matches.
There was a bit of a lack of intensity in the first half. We let the opponent play a bit. Then, with the speech of our coach, we started the second half very well,
Osimhen told the club’s official website.
We also increased the intensity. We focused a lot on our game. These matches are difficult. We need to maintain our focus. We need to take advantage of every opportunity. We missed many opportunities. We will try to do better by learning from our mistakes.

Osimhen also spoke positively about his time at Galatasaray since joining the club on loan from Napoli last September. He credited his teammates and coach for helping him settle quickly and said he remains focused on helping the team achieve its goals.
The striker dismissed suggestions that fatigue was affecting the squad, insisting that every player must be ready to contribute during a busy schedule.
I don’t think there is fatigue in the team. This is our job. It’s not just the 11 players. The guys on the bench are always ready.
he said.
Osimhen added that the team would analyse the draw, learn from its mistakes and work towards delivering better performances in upcoming matches.
