Super Falcons and Paris FC goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been named among the five finalists for the 2024 CAF Women’s Player of the Year award, softfootball reports.
The final shortlist, released by CAF on Wednesday, also includes Barbara Banda (Zambia), Temwa Chawinga (Malawi), Tabitha Chawinga (Malawi), and Sanaa Mssoudy (Morocco). Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade did not make the final cut.

Nnadozie is also in contention for the Goalkeeper of the Year award, where she will compete against Andile Dlamini (South Africa/Mamelodi Sundowns), Khadija Er-rmichi (Morocco/ASFAR), Habiba Sabry (Egypt/FC Masar), and Fideline Ngoy (DR Congo/TP Mazembe).
The 24-year-old will be aiming to retain the Goalkeeper of the Year title after winning the award at the 2023 CAF Awards.
Nigeria’s Super Falcons are among the finalists for the Women’s National Team of the Year award alongside Cameroon, Morocco, South Africa, and Zambia.
In the club category, Edo Queens, who finished fourth at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League, are nominated alongside TP Mazembe, FC Masar, ASFAR, and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Elsewhere, Falconets striker Chiamaka Okwuchukwu has been shortlisted for the Young Player of the Year award, while Christopher Danjuma is among the nominees for the Coach of the Year prize.
