Gerard Pique has confirmed a near-miss with Juventus that could have taken his career down a very different path.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia at a Kings League event in Italy, the former Barcelona defender opened up about interest from the Bianconeri that arrived at a pivotal moment early in his career.

Softfootball understands the approach came in 2007, while Pique was still on Manchester United’s books, telling reporters:
Yes, Juventus were interested in me in 2007. They arrived at the same moment as Barcelona, but it was my dream to play for Barca. Juve were a very big club at the time, but Barcelona were my whole life. I just wanted to go to Barca.
Pique came through Barcelona’s academy before a move to Old Trafford in 2004, followed by a loan spell at Real Zaragoza in 2006-07.
His dream move finally arrived in the summer of 2008, and he never looked back, going on to become one of the club’s most decorated defenders.
