Al Nassr defender Aymeric Laporte has admitted he would welcome the opportunity to join Real Madrid if the Spanish giants decide to make a move for him.
Softfootball understands that Laporte has been linked with a return to European football, with Real Madrid reportedly exploring defensive reinforcements.
Speaking to Marca, the Spain international said he has seen the speculation but has not been paying close attention to the reports.
Laporte acknowledged that an approach from a club of Real Madrid’s stature would naturally be attractive and insisted that such an opportunity could never be ignored.
The 30-year-old, however, stressed that any major decision regarding his future would be based on what he believes is best for his career rather than outside opinions.
He explained that he always aims to make choices that benefit him professionally and personally, adding that even if those decisions prove right or wrong, they deserve to be respected.
Despite the speculation, Laporte expressed satisfaction with life at Al Nassr, saying he moved to Saudi Arabia primarily to play football and has no regrets about the decision.
He also reflected on one of the greatest moments of his career—helping Spain win the UEFA European Championship—describing the triumph as the pinnacle of his football journey and praising the unity and atmosphere within the squad.
While remaining committed to Al Nassr, Laporte made it clear that the chance to represent Real Madrid would be difficult to refuse should the opportunity arise.
