Super Eagles Camp Swells to 21 Ahead of Benin, Rwanda Qualifiers

The Super Eagles camp has continued to fill up ahead of Nigeria’s crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Benin Republic and Rwanda, with 21 players now in camp.

Softfootball understands that captain William Troost-Ekong, Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi and Ola Aina were among the latest stars to report to the team’s training base in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

Also arriving in camp were Bright Osayi-Samuel, Alhassan Yusuf and home-based defender Victor Collins, bringing the number of players available to head coach Augustine Eguavoen to 21.

Only three invited players are still being awaited as preparations intensify ahead of Thursday’s Group D clash against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.

The Super Eagles are scheduled to hold their first full training session later on Monday as Eguavoen begins fine-tuning his squad before the important encounter.

Nigeria will take on Benin Republic on Thursday before facing Rwanda in their final qualifying fixture as they look to secure a place at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
