Fulham manager Marco Silva has praised Alex Iwobi following the Nigerian midfielder’s outstanding display in Saturday’s 2-0 Premier League victory over Crystal Palace.
Softfootball understands that Iwobi delivered another influential performance, capping his display with an assist for substitute Harry Wilson’s late goal as Fulham secured all three points in the London derby.
The Super Eagles star provided a perfectly weighted pass for Wilson, who finished confidently seven minutes from time to seal the Cottagers’ victory.
Silva believes Iwobi has continued the progress he made last season and is on course to enjoy an even better campaign this term.
The Portuguese coach, who previously worked with Iwobi at Everton before bringing him to Fulham, revealed he noticed the midfielder’s determination and improved attitude from the opening week of pre-season.
According to Silva, Iwobi has embraced greater responsibility within the squad and has become one of the team’s key performers, consistently making important contributions in attack and midfield.
