Brentford are closing in on the signing of experienced striker Callum Wilson, with the former England international expected to join the Bees on an initial 12-month contract, Softfootball confirms.
Wilson’s imminent arrival follows Brentford’s recent capture of winger Jaidon Anthony from Burnley as the club continues strengthening its squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
The 34-year-old is a free agent after leaving West Ham United at the end of last season and is now in advanced talks over a move to west London, with the deal expected to be finalised this week.
Wilson’s arrival would add proven Premier League experience to Brentford’s attack, having previously represented Bournemouth, Newcastle United and West Ham while also earning nine England caps and featuring at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The veteran forward is expected to provide competition for Brazilian striker Igor Thiago, who remains firmly part of Brentford’s plans despite speculation linking him with a big-money move this summer.
The move would also pave the way for highly rated 19-year-old Belgian forward Kaye Furo to leave on loan for regular first-team football during the 2026/27 campaign.
