Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed his determination to score more goals for Sevilla after opening his account for the Spanish club, Softfootball reports.
The Nigerian striker has found it difficult to make an immediate impact since joining the seven-time UEFA Europa League winners on a free transfer during the summer.
However, Iheanacho ended his wait for a first goal in style by scoring twice in Sevilla’s 3-0 victory over Las Rozas in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night.

The 28-year-old believes the brace will boost his confidence and hopes it marks the beginning of a consistent run in front of goal.
Iheanacho is also optimistic Sevilla can finish the season strongly and secure a place in the top six of La Liga.
The striker is now looking ahead to Sunday’s league clash against Real Sociedad, where Sevilla will return to action in front of their home supporters.
Iheanacho admitted he is excited about the prospect of playing again at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium, praising the club’s fans for their unwavering support and expressing hope of helping the team claim all three points.
