Joao Felix starred for Enzo Maresca’s side, scoring twice to lead Chelsea’s attacking charge. The Portuguese forward opened the scoring with a composed finish from close range before adding his second with a superb strike from outside the penalty area.

Ukrainian winger Mykhaylo Mudryk also got on the scoresheet, finishing from close range after another well-worked Chelsea move, while Christopher Nkunku converted from the penalty spot to extend the visitors’ advantage.

Panathinaikos managed to pull one back through former Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri with 20 minutes remaining, but the goal proved nothing more than a consolation as Chelsea comfortably saw out the game.

The comprehensive victory keeps Chelsea’s perfect record intact in the competition and further strengthens their hopes of progressing deep into the tournament.

With six points from their opening two matches, the Premier League side now sits at the summit of the Conference League table and will look to maintain their momentum in the upcoming fixtures.
