Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has insisted it is still too early to label the Reds as favourites for the Premier League title despite their impressive start to the season.
Softfootball said the Republic of Ireland international urged caution after Liverpool climbed to the top of the table with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday.
The Reds were firmly in the title race for much of last season before eventually finishing third, but have looked rejuvenated under new manager Arne Slot this campaign.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Kelleher acknowledged the team’s progress but stressed that there is still a long way to go.
He noted that the growing title talk is coming from outside the club and believes it is far too early to make predictions, with several difficult fixtures still ahead.
Kelleher also stressed that Liverpool’s immediate focus is on maintaining their upward trajectory, keeping the squad fit, and collecting positive results during a demanding run of matches.
The Irish goalkeeper believes the team has shown clear signs of improvement but insists consistency over the coming weeks will be crucial if the Reds are to remain genuine title contenders as the season progresses.
