Samuel Chukwueze was named AC Milan’s Man of the Match after scoring the decisive goal in Saturday’s 1-0 Serie A victory over Udinese.
Softfootball added that the Nigerian winger delivered one of his best performances of the season, ending his wait for a first league goal of the campaign and helping the Rossoneri secure a hard-fought three points at the San Siro.
It was Chukwueze’s first goal in eight Serie A appearances this season and his first in nine matches across all competitions.
The Super Eagles forward struck in the 13th minute after being picked out by former Chelsea star Christian Pulisic.
Chukwueze was replaced by Fikayo Tomori with two minutes remaining after an impressive display.
AC Milan played most of the encounter with 10 men following Tijjani Reijnders’ straight red card, but they defended resolutely to preserve their slender advantage.
Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye featured for Udinese but was unable to prevent his compatriot from finding the back of the net.
The victory provides a timely boost for Milan, while Chukwueze will hope his match-winning display marks the beginning of a productive run of form as he looks to establish himself as a regular starter under the Rossoneri’s coaching staff.
