Spanish club Real Betis Féminas have officially confirmed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Chinyere Kalu.
Softfootball added that the talented 19-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Verdiblanca outfit as she begins a new chapter in her career in Spain.
Kalu, who operates as a defensive midfielder, represented Nigeria at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and also featured for the country’s U-17 national team during her youth career.

Before securing her move to Europe, the youngster played for several clubs in the Nigeria Women’s Football League, including Martins White Dove FC, Osun Babes FC, Rivers Angels FC and Nasarawa Amazons FC, where she continued to develop her reputation as one of the country’s promising midfield talents.
Kalu follows in the footsteps of fellow Super Falcons stars Rofiat Imuran (commonly known as Roosa Ariyo) and Rinsola Babajide, who have also previously featured for Real Betis. Her arrival is expected to further strengthen the Spanish club’s midfield options ahead of the new campaign.
