Softfootball can confirm Brentford are in talks with Burnley over the permanent signing of Jaidon Anthony, with the Bees emerging as the frontrunners to land the winger this summer.
The 26-year-old is eager to remain in the Premier League following Burnley’s relegation to the Championship, and Brentford have moved ahead in the race for his signature.
Meanwhile, Chelsea remain active in the transfer market, with the Blues continuing talks over a potential move for Sporting CP defender Maxi Araújo.
According to reports, Burnley are expected to demand around £20 million for Anthony, who enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, registering nine goals and four assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.

Anthony, who came through Arsenal’s academy before making his breakthrough at Bournemouth, is viewed as an excellent tactical fit for Brentford head coach Keith Andrews.
The winger also had loan spells at Weymouth and Leeds before joining Burnley permanently after their promotion to the Premier League.
Brentford, who finished ninth last season, have already strengthened their squad with the signing of Jannik Schuster from RB Salzburg and continue to reshape the team ahead of the new campaign.
