The Super Eagles will hold their first training session today, Tuesday, as preparations begin for their Group D 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya.
Softfootball reported that Terem Moffi was delighted after captaining the Super Eagles to Unity Cup triumph, a moment that further highlighted the team’s growing confidence ahead of another important international assignment.
The team’s media officer, Promise Efoghe, confirmed that the training session will be open for coverage and will take place at 5pm.
On Wednesday, October 9, there will be a media parley with the Super Eagles players at the Four Points Hotel in Ikot Ekpene. This will be followed by a press conference on Thursday, October 10, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
Nigeria will host Libya in Uyo on matchday three before travelling to Benghazi for the reverse fixture, which is scheduled for October 15.
The Super Eagles started their qualifying campaign strongly with a 3-0 win over Benin Republic. Ademola Lookman scored twice in the match, while Victor Osimhen also found the net.

In their second Group D match, Nigeria played out a 0-0 draw with Rwanda in Kigali.
Libya, on the other hand, have had a difficult start to the campaign. They drew 1-1 at home against Rwanda in their opening game before losing 2-1 to Benin Republic in Abidjan.
The results leave the Super Eagles top of Group D with four points, while Libya sit bottom with just one point.
The last time Nigeria faced Libya was during the qualifiers for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt. The Super Eagles won the first leg 4-0 in Uyo before securing a 3-2 victory away from home.
As preparations begin, the Super Eagles will be hoping to build momentum and strengthen their position at the top of the group.
